South Dakota Articles of Termination are legal documents used to officially dissolve a business in the state of South Dakota. Articles of Termination must be filed with the South Dakota Secretary of State's office in order to officially end the business' existence. There are two types of Articles of Termination: Articles of Termination of Corporation and Articles of Termination of Limited Liability Company. Both require the name of the business, the date of dissolution, the name and address of the registered agent, and the signature of the registered agent. The Articles of Termination of Corporation also require the names, addresses, and signatures of all officers and directors of the corporation. The Articles of Termination of Limited Liability Company also require the names, addresses, and signatures of all members of the LLC. Once the Articles of Termination are filed, the business is officially terminated in the state of South Dakota.
