Alaska Assignment of Certification Mark — Change of Owner Only is a document used to transfer ownership of a certification mark in the state of Alaska. A certification mark is a mark that shows that goods or services meet certain standards. When an owner of a certification mark wishes to transfer ownership to another party, they must file an Alaska Assignment of Certification Mark — Change of Owner Only. There are two types of Alaska Assignment of Certification Mark — Change of Owner Only: a Summons and Complaint for Cancellation of Certification Mark, and an Assignment and Amendment of Certification Mark. The Summons and Complaint for Cancellation of Certification Mark is used to cancel the certification mark in the name of the current owner and transfer it to the new owner. The Assignment and Amendment of Certification Mark is used to amend the certification mark in the name of the new owner. Both documents must be filed with the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development.
