Alaska Assignment of Collective Mark — Change of Owner Only is a document used to transfer the rights and benefits associated with a collective mark from its current owner to a new owner. This document must be filed with the Alaska State Department of Commerce, Community & Economic Development in order to ensure that the collective mark is properly recorded and registered. There are two types of Alaska Assignment of Collective Mark — Change of Owner Only: voluntary assignment and involuntary assignment. A voluntary assignment is when the current owner of the collective mark voluntarily agrees to transfer the rights and benefits associated with the mark to a new owner. An involuntary assignment is when the current owner of the collective mark is forced to transfer the rights and benefits associated with the mark to a new owner.
