Alaska CHINA Therapeutic Court — HIPAA Release of Information Order is a legal document used to authorize the release of confidential health information by a healthcare provider, health plan, or other covered entity to the Alaska CHINA Therapeutic Court. The HIPAA Release of Information Order is used to facilitate the sharing of information between the Alaska CHINA Therapeutic Court and healthcare providers, health plans, and/or other covered entities, as necessary, in order to assist in the therapeutic court’s efforts to provide court-supervised treatment and services to juvenile offenders. There are two types of Alaska CHINA Therapeutic Court — HIPAA Release of Information Order: the Provider Release of Information Order and the General Release of Information Order. The Provider Release of Information Order is used to authorize healthcare providers, health plans, and other covered entities to disclose confidential health information to the Alaska CHINA Therapeutic Court. The General Release of Information Order is used to authorize the disclosure of confidential health information from the Alaska CHINA Therapeutic Court to healthcare providers, health plans, and/or other covered entities.
