Alaska DOC Supervision Transfer (ADS) is a process by which an individual under Alaska Department of Corrections (DOC) supervision in Alaska can be transferred to another state for supervision. This process allows individuals to move to a different state while still being monitored and supervised by the DOC. There are two types of ADS: Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision (ICA OS) and Compact of Free Association (CFA) transfers. ICA OS transfers are facilitated through the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision (ICA OS). The ICA OS is an interstate compact used to facilitate the movement of adult offenders who are already on probation or parole. Under this program, the Alaska DOC will transfer the individual’s supervision to the receiving state, while the receiving state’s DOC will assume responsibility for the individual’s supervision. CFA transfers are facilitated through the Compact of Free Association (CFA) between the United States and the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). Under this program, individuals from the FSM who are under Alaska DOC supervision can be transferred to a receiving state for supervision. The receiving state’s DOC will assume responsibility for the individual’s supervisionADSST allows individuals to move to a different state while still being monitored and supervised by the Alaska DOC, ensuring that offenders remain accountable for their actions and continue to meet the conditions of their sentence.
