Alaska Instructions for Emergency Petition — Temporary Conservator is a set of legal instructions for filing a petition in the state of Alaska for a temporary conservator. This petition is used when a person needs immediate protection due to a mental health condition, developmental disability, or other incapacity. The petition must be filed with the court in the county in which the person resides. The petition must include the following information: name and address of petitioner; name and address of the person who needs protection; a description of the person's mental health condition, developmental disability, or other incapacity; the reasons for the need for a temporary conservator; and the names and addresses of any immediate family members or other interested parties. There are two types of Alaska Instructions for Emergency Petition — Temporary Conservator. The first type is for an adult who is unable to care for themselves and needs a conservator to manage their finances and personal affairs. The second type is for a minor who is unable to care for themselves and needs a conservator to manage their finances and personal affairs.
