The Alaska Request to Modify Order of Protection from Financial Abuse is a document used by individuals in Alaska to seek changes to an existing court order that provides financial protection against abuse. This document is typically used to modify the terms of a previously granted Protective Order or to request a new Protective Order to provide financial protection against abuse. There are two types of Alaska Request to Modify Order of Protection from Financial Abuse: Request for Modification of an Existing Protective Order and Request for a New Protective Order. The Request for Modification of an Existing Protective Order allows an individual to modify an existing Protective Order in order to provide additional financial protection against abuse. This request can be used when the existing order is no longer sufficient or when the individual wishes to add new protections. The Request for a New Protective Order allows an individual to request a Protective Order, so they can be financially protected against abuse. This request can be used when the individual is facing a new situation of abuse that requires additional protection. In either case, the request must be filed in the court in which the original Protective Order was granted and must include a detailed description of the abuse, the individual’s relationship to the abuser, and the financial protection requested. Once the court has reviewed the request, they will either grant or deny the modification.
