The Alaska Conduct Agreement/Conditions of Probation is an agreement between a person on probation and the court. It outlines the steps the person must take in order to remain in compliance with the court’s terms of probation. This includes requirements such as refraining from criminal activity and avoiding contact with law enforcement. It also includes restrictions on activities such as alcohol and drug use, firearms possession, and travel. The agreement also outlines the consequences for failing to comply with its provisions. There are two types of Alaska Conduct Agreement/Conditions of Probation: Standard Conditions and Special Conditions. Standard Conditions are the most common and are applicable to all probationers. These include requirements such as avoiding contact with criminal elements, abstaining from alcohol and drug use, and refraining from weapons possession. Special Conditions are tailored to the individual probationer’s needs and may include requirements such as attending counseling, taking medication, or participating in community service. Violations of either type of Alaska Conduct Agreement/Conditions of Probation may result in the probationer being sent to jail or prison.
