Alaska Request to Modify Protective Order — One Petitioner is a legal document used to modify an existing protective order in the state of Alaska. This document is used when a petitioner seeks to modify or terminate an existing protective order. There are two types of Alaska Request to Modify Protective Order — One Petitioner: an ex parte modification and a contested modification. In an ex parte modification, the petitioner can request a modification or termination of the order without the respondent’s knowledge or consent. In a contested modification, the respondent must be served with notice of the petition and be given the opportunity to contest the requested changes. The petition must include the petitioner’s name, address, telephone number, and email address; the name and address of the respondent; the date of the protective order; and a statement of the reasons why the modification or termination of the order is sought. The petition must also include a copy of the current protective order.
