The Alaska Certificate of Service is a document issued by the state of Alaska that is used to verify that a person has served in the state's military or in a designated civil service position. It is issued to members of the Alaska National Guard, the Alaska Naval Militia, and the Alaska State Guard, as well as to certain civilians who have completed service with the Alaska State Government. There are three types of Alaska Certificate of Service: the Alaska National Guard Certificate of Service, the Alaska Naval Militia Certificate of Service, and the Alaska State Guard Certificate of Service. The Alaska National Guard Certificate of Service is issued to members of the Alaska National Guard who have completed either active duty service or a specified period of inactive duty. The Alaska Naval Militia Certificate of Service is issued to members of the Alaska Naval Militia who have completed such service. The Alaska State Guard Certificate of Service is issued to members of the Alaska State Guard who have completed such service.
