Alaska Nomination for Appointment of Personal Representative with Equal or Lower Priority is a form used in Alaska probate proceedings to nominate a personal representative with equal or lower priority to the appointment of an executor. This form is typically completed and signed by the proposed executor, and then submitted to the court. There are two types of Alaska Nomination for Appointment of Personal Representative with Equal or Lower Priority: (1) Nomination for Appointment with Equal Priority, and (2) Nomination for Appointment with Lower Priority. The Nomination for Appointment with Equal Priority allows a proposed executor to nominate him/herself as the executor with equal priority to the appointment of another executor. The Nomination for Appointment with Lower Priority allows a proposed executor to nominate him/herself as the executor with lower priority to the appointment of another executor. Both forms require the proposed executor to supply information such as name, address, date of birth, and relationship to the deceased. In addition, the proposed executor must submit a copy of the will and a certified copy of the death certificate.
