Alaska Denial Order is a form of judicial relief issued by the Alaska Superior Court to an individual or entity that is alleged to have violated laws, ordinances, regulations, or rules. The order may be issued in response to a complaint by a state or municipal agency, or upon motion by the court itself. The order requires the respondent to cease and desist from engaging in the alleged conduct and/or to take specific remedial action within a specified time frame. There are three types of Alaska Denial Orders: Temporary Denial Order, Preliminary Denial Order, and Permanent Denial Order. A Temporary Denial Order is issued to temporarily restrain the respondent from engaging in the alleged conduct until a hearing can be held. A Preliminary Denial Order is issued after a hearing and is effective for a fixed period of time. A Permanent Denial Order is issued after a hearing and is effective until the respondent has taken corrective action or until the court modifies or vacates the order.
