Alaska Response to Request is a program designed to help Alaskan residents prepare for and respond to natural disasters, such as earthquakes, wildfires, and floods. The program provides access to resources, such as emergency kits, hazard awareness and preparedness information, and evacuation and sheltering plans. The program also offers training and assistance to individuals, families, businesses, and organizations in the preparation, response, and recovery phases of a disaster. The types of Alaska Response to Request include: • Disaster Preparedness: Providing resources and information to help individuals, families, and businesses be better prepared for disasters. • Disaster Response: Providing access to resources and assistance for individuals, families, and businesses responding to a disaster. • Disaster Recovery: Providing resources to help individuals, families, and businesses recover from a disaster. • Emergency Management: Offering resources and support for emergency management and response personnel.
