The Alaska Palmer Coordinated Resources Project — Mental Health Court is a specialized court program aimed at providing an alternative to the traditional criminal justice system for individuals with mental health issues. It is a collaborative effort between the courts, law enforcement, mental health providers, and other community services aimed at helping individuals access treatment for their mental health needs while keeping them out of the criminal justice system. The program offers a wide range of services including individualized treatment plans, crisis intervention, medication management, and case management. There are two types of Alaska Palmer Coordinated Resources Project — Mental Health Courts: thSiteka Mental Health Court and the Anchorage Mental Health Court. Both courts provide individuals with access to a variety of mental health services, while also providing support for the individuals and their families to help them successfully complete their treatment plans.
