The Alaska Palmer Families with Infants and Toddlers Court (AFPI TC) is a specialty court designed to help families with infants and toddlers facing issues related to child abuse, neglect, and/or dependency. The court provides specialized services to meet the needs of these families, including early intervention, crisis stabilization, legal advocacy, and case management. The court is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for families as they work with the court to resolve their issues. There are three types of AFPI TC: an expedited court, a pre-trial court, and a post-trial court. The expedited court is designed to provide quick resolution to legal issues related to child abuse, neglect, and/or dependency. The pre-trial court is designed to provide early intervention and case management services to families before their case goes to trial. The post-trial court is designed to provide support and services to families after the case has been resolved.
