Alaska Articles of Incorporation (Domestic Business Corporation) are documents that must be filed with the Alaska Division of Corporations, Business & Professional Licensing in order to legally form a corporation in the state of Alaska. These documents must include the name of the corporation, its purpose, the names and addresses of the incorporates, the number of shares the corporation is authorized to issue, and the name and address of the registered agent. There are two types of Alaska Articles of Incorporation (Domestic Business Corporation): Profit and Non-Profit. The Profit Article of Incorporation must include the amount of capital that the corporation is authorized to issue and the rights of each class of shares, while the Non-Profit Article of Incorporation must include the corporation’s purpose, which must be charitable, educational, literary, scientific, or religious. The Articles of Incorporation must be signed by the incorporates and witnessed. Once the documents are filed and accepted, the corporation is legally formed in the state of Alaska.
