Alaska Parenting Coordinator Policies and Procedures, SHC-1823, are a set of guidelines and regulations designed to protect the welfare of children in the state of Alaska. The policies govern the roles and responsibilities of parenting coordinators, as well as the duties of parents and the court. There are three types of Alaska Parenting Coordinator Policies and Procedures, SHC-1823: Qualifications and Procedures, Court Orders and Parent Responsibilities, and Communication and Records. Qualifications and Procedures outlines the qualifications for parenting coordinators, as well as the procedures for selecting, appointing, and evaluating them. Court Orders and Parent Responsibilities outlines the court's role in establishing parenting coordination, the duties of parents and parenting coordinators, and the enforcement of court orders. Communication and Records outlines the rules for communication between parents, parenting coordinators, and the court, as well as the procedures for maintaining records of all parenting coordination proceedings.
