Alaska Divorce Judgment and Decree, SHC-525 is a legal document issued by an Alaska state court that grants a divorce and outlines the rights and obligations of both spouses. The court issues the decree to terminate the marriage and make decisions regarding the division of assets, debts, spousal maintenance, child custody and visitation, and child support. This document is also known as the Final Divorce Decree or Final Decree of Divorce. It may be referred to as an Entry of Judgment or Final Judgment if it is filed in the court's docket. There are two types of Alaska Divorce Judgment and Decree, SHC-525: the Uncontested Divorce Judgment and Decree and the Contested Divorce Judgment and Decree. An Uncontested Divorce Judgment and Decree is issued when both spouses agree on all the terms of the divorce. A Contested Divorce Judgment and Decree is issued when there is disagreement between the spouses regarding any of the terms of the divorce.
