Alabama Drug Free, Way to Be Guide is an evidence-based, comprehensive resource designed to help families, schools, and communities build strong protective factors against substance use. The resource offers a step-by-step guide on how to start a drug-free program in the community, as well as resources and tools to help educate and engage families, schools, and communities. It also provides information on how to respond to substance use in the home, school, and community. The resource includes age-appropriate materials for students, parents, educators, and community members, as well as a compendium of information on drug prevention, drug use, and treatment. There are two versions of the Alabama Drug Free, Way to Be Guide — one designed for Pre-K through 12th grade and one designed for higher education. Both versions provide resources and tools to help create a drug-free culture in schools and communities.
