An Alabama Domestic LLC Certificate of Formation, also known as an “Articles of Organization”, is an official document that is filed with the Alabama Secretary of State to create a domestic limited liability company (LLC) in the state of Alabama. The certificate provides information about the LLC, including its name, purpose, registered agent, duration, members and managers, and other details. There are two types of Alabama Domestic LLC Certificate of Formation: the Standard Certificate of Formation and the Professional Certificate of Formation. The Standard Certificate of Formation is the most commonly used and is used to create a domestic LLC with up to two members. The Professional Certificate of Formation is used to create a professional LLC with up to twenty-five members and is required if the LLC will provide professional services, such as legal, accounting, or medical services.
