Alabama Pick-up Order Recall is a process by which the Alabama Department of Revenue (ODOR) can recover taxes that have been erroneously collected on behalf of a customer. This process applies to businesses that have paid taxes to the ODOR on behalf of their customers. The ODOR may issue a recall notice to the business, requiring them to return the taxes that were erroneously collected. There are two types of Alabama Pick-up Order Recall: Extended Recall and Non-Extended Recall. An Extended Recall applies when the customer has been overcharged by more than $50 in taxes. A Non-Extended Recall applies when the customer has been overcharged by no more than $50 in taxes.
