Alabama Permanency Hearing Order APPLY (Adoption, Paternity, Placement and Legal Authority) is a court order issued by a judge in the State of Alabama. The order establishes legal parent-child relationships, and can be used to grant parental rights and responsibilities to an adoptive parent, legitimize a father, or place a child in the legal custody of another person or agency. The order can also be used to terminate parental rights. There are three types of Alabama Permanency Hearing Order APPLY: Adoption, Paternity, and Placement. Adoption APPLY orders can be used to grant the adoptive parents full parental rights and responsibilities. Paternity APPLY orders can be used to establish legal parent-child relationships and legitimize a father. Placement APPLY orders can be used to place a child in the legal custody of another person or agency. This order also gives the custodial parent or agency the right to make decisions about the child's care and upbringing.
