The Alabama Domestic Limited Partnership (LP) Amendment of Certificate of Limited Partnership is a legal document used to make changes to the original Certificate of Limited Partnership in the state of Alabama. The amendment must be signed by all general partners and filed with the Secretary of State. It must also include the name of the limited partnership, the date of filing of the original certificate of limited partnership, and the amendment(s) being made. There are three types of Alabama Domestic Limited Partnership (LP) Amendment of Certificate of Limited Partnership: Amendment of Name, Amendment of Certificate, and Amendment of Agreement. The Amendment of Name changes the name of the limited partnership and must be accompanied by a Certificate of Amendment of Name. The Amendment of Certificate is used to make changes to the original certificate of limited partnership and must include the original filing date of the certificate and the changes being made. The Amendment of Agreement is used to make changes to the original agreement of the limited partnership, including the name of the partners, their respective rights and duties, and the purpose of the partnership.
