An Alabama Domestic Limited Partnership (LP) Certificate of Information is a document filed with the Alabama Secretary of State that provides information about a limited partnership established in the state of Alabama. The Certificate of Information must include the name of the partnership, the address of its principal office, the name and address of each general partner, and the name and address of the registered agent. It must also include the date of formation and the duration of the partnership, if applicable. Additionally, the Certificate of Information must be signed and notarized by one of the general partners. There are two types of Alabama Domestic Limited Partnership (LP) Certificate of Information: the Initial Certificate of Information and the Amended Certificate of Information. The Initial Certificate of Information is used to register a new limited partnership with the state and must include the above-mentioned information. The Amended Certificate of Information is used to update existing information on an existing limited partnership, such as the address of the principal office, the names and addresses of the general partners, or the registered agent.
