The Arkansas Application for Certificate of Authority of Foreign Limited Partnership is a document used by foreign limited partnerships to register with the Arkansas Secretary of State. This application allows partnerships to conduct business in Arkansas and is a prerequisite for filing documents with the Arkansas Secretary of State. The application must be signed by at least one general partner of the foreign limited partnership and include the name of the foreign limited partnership, the date of formation, the state of formation, the name and address of the registered agent in Arkansas, and the name and address of each general partner. It must also be accompanied by a Certificate of Good Standing from the state of formation, a Certificate of Existence or Certificate of Authority from the state of formation, a copy of the partnership agreement, and an Arkansas Application for Certificate of Authority of Foreign Limited Partnership Fee. There are two types of Arkansas Application for Certificate of Authority of Foreign Limited Partnership: the original application and the renewal application. The original application must be filed if a foreign limited partnership is registering for the first time. The renewal application must be filed by foreign limited partnerships that have previously registered with the Arkansas Secretary of State.
