Arkansas Articles of Incorporation are documents filed with the Arkansas Secretary of State that legally form a corporation in the state of Arkansas. This document must be written and filed in accordance with Arkansas law, and contains information such as the name and address of the corporation, the names and addresses of the incorporates, the number of shares of stock the corporation is authorized to issue, and the registered agent of the corporation. There are two types of Arkansas Articles of Incorporation: Standard and Nonprofit. A Standard Arkansas Articles of Incorporation allows a business to form a for-profit corporation, while a Nonprofit Arkansas Articles of Incorporation allows a business to form a nonprofit corporation.
