Arkansas Order to Withhold Income for Child Support is an order issued by the court to garnish wages or other income of a parent who has been ordered to pay child support. The order is based on an Arkansas Support Order and is sent to the employer of the person who owes child support. The employer must withhold the amount of the court order from the employee's wages and send the money to the Arkansas Child Support Clearinghouse for distribution. There are three types of Arkansas Order to Withhold Income for Child Support: (1) Initial Order to Withhold Income; (2) Subsequent Order to Withhold Income; and (3) Notice to Withhold Income for Child Support. The Initial Order to Withhold Income is the first order sent to the employer, instructing them to begin withholding and sending payments to the Arkansas Child Support Clearinghouse. The Subsequent Order to Withhold Income is sent to the employer after the Initial Order and instructs them to change the amount of withholding. The Notice to Withhold Income for Child Support is sent to the employer when there is a change in the mayor's wages. It instructs the employer to begin or continue withholding and sending payments to the Arkansas Child Support Clearinghouse.
