Arizona Authorization and Voucher for Expert and Other Services (AGES) is an authorization and reimbursement program for expert and other services for the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADDS). It is designed to provide reimbursement for services provided to individuals with severe mental illness or substance abuse disorders. This program provides reimbursement for services such as court-ordered evaluations, court-ordered evaluations for competency to stand trial, court-ordered evaluations for mitigation, or other authorized expert services. There are two types of Arizona Authorization and Voucher for Expert and Other Services: AVES-1 and AVES-2. AVES-1 is for court-ordered evaluations and other court-ordered expert services, while AVES-2 is for services not related to court proceedings. These services may include psychological testing, psychological evaluations, speech and language assessments, educational assessments, and other therapeutic interventions. Both types of AGES can help ensure that individuals receive necessary services and that providers receive appropriate reimbursement for their services.
