Arizona Responding to Dissolution with Children (ARC) is a court-sponsored program designed to help parents and children going through the dissolution of marriage or domestic partnership. It provides educational resources and trainings to help parents navigate their parent-child relationship and the court process. ARC focuses on helping parents learn how to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and work together to reach an agreement that is in the best interest of their children. The program also provides family law professionals with knowledge and skill to effectively serve families in dissolution proceedings. ARC offers three different types of programs: 1. Education Courses: These courses cover the basics of the dissolution process and provide participants with a better understanding of the legal process and how to prepare for it. 2. Parenting Education Classes: These classes help parents learn effective communication and conflict resolution skills, so they can better navigate the divorce process and reach a parenting plan that is in the best interest of their children. 3. Family Mediation: This is a voluntary process in which a neutral third-party mediator helps the parents reach a mutually acceptable resolution of the issues related to the dissolution. ARC is available to all Arizona residents going through a dissolution of marriage or domestic partnership and is free of charge.
