The Arizona Agreement to Stop an Income Withholding Order, also known as a Release of Withholding Order, is a document that allows an employer to stop the enforcement of an income withholding order issued by the court. This document is used to stop the garnishment of wages or other income sources from an employee or other debtor. An Arizona Agreement to Stop an Income Withholding Order can be used for both child support and spousal maintenance orders. There are two types of Arizona Agreement to Stop an Income Withholding Order: Release of Withholding Order (WHO) and Notice of Withholding Order (NOW). A Release of Withholding Order is used when the employer has received an income withholding order from the court for the purpose of collecting child support or spousal maintenance, and the employer desires to stop the withholding of income. A Notice of Withholding Order is used when the employer has received an income withholding order from the court, but the employer is unwilling or unable to comply with the income withholding order. The Notice of Withholding Order informs the court and the obliged of the employer's unwillingness or inability to comply with the income withholding order.
