The Arizona Certificate of Readiness (ACR) is a document issued by the Arizona Department of Education to indicate that a student is well-prepared for the next grade level. The ACR is issued to students in grades 3-8 and is based on a combination of state standards, teacher and parent input, and student performance. There are three types of ACR: The Core Ready Certificate, the College Ready Certificate, and the Career Ready Certificate. The Core Ready Certificate is given to students who demonstrate proficiency in core subjects such as reading, writing, and math, while the College Ready Certificate is given to those who show mastery of the same core subjects and are prepared for college-level work. The Career Ready Certificate is given to students who are prepared for career and technical education courses. The ACR is an important milestone for students and provides them with the assurance that they are ready to move on to the next grade level.
