Arizona Petition for TT EAP Hold Waiver is an application to the Arizona Department of Education (ARE) that allows an individual or family in the state to petition for a waiver of the Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Hold. This petition is used to waive the requirement of the Tax Credit Scholarship Program that requires families to keep their child in public school for one year before applying for the scholarship to attend a private school. There are two types of Arizona Petition for TT EAP Hold Waiver. The first type, the Academic Waiver, is used when a family believes that their child’s public school is not providing the necessary academic support for their child’s learning needs. The second type, the Hardship Waiver, is used when a family believes that their child’s public school is not providing a safe or healthy environment for their child. In order to submit the Arizona Petition for TT EAP Hold Waiver, families must provide evidence that their child is not receiving the necessary support from their public school or that their child is in an unsafe or unhealthy environment. If the ARE approves the petition, the family will be exempt from the one-year requirement of the Tax Credit Scholarship Program and can apply for the scholarship to attend a private school.
