Arizona Order Of Assignment is a court order issued by an Arizona judge to assign a particular attorney to represent a litigant in a case. It is also known as an assignment of counsel or assignment of attorney. The Order of Assignment typically specifies the name of the attorney assigned to the case, as well as the rate of compensation to be paid to the attorney. The Order of Assignment can be requested by either party in the case. There are two types of Arizona Order of Assignment: An Order of Assignment to Represent Indigent Parties and an Order of Assignment to Represent Non-Indigent Parties. An Order of Assignment to Represent Indigent Parties is issued when the party requesting the assignment is financially unable to hire an attorney; the court will assign a qualified attorney to represent the party at no cost to the party. An Order of Assignment to Represent Non-Indigent Parties is issued when the party requesting the assignment is able to pay for an attorney, but the court wishes to ensure that the party is represented by a qualified attorney.
