Arizona Articles of Incorporation — Nonprofit is a legal document that organizations must file with the Arizona Corporation Commission in order to become a recognized nonprofit organization with the state. These articles must include the organization's name, its purpose, its duration, its principal office address, the names and addresses of the incorporates, and the rules regarding the management of the nonprofit. There are two types of Arizona Articles of Incorporation — Nonprofit: Charitable Nonprofit and Non-Charitable Nonprofit. Charitable nonprofits must demonstrate that they have a charitable purpose, such as providing education, health care, or other public benefit activities, and Non-Charitable Nonprofits must demonstrate that they have a specific purpose, such as social, literary, scientific, educational or other purpose, but not for the profit of any individual.
