The Arizona Proposed Resolution Statement is a document created by the Arizona legislature to express their opinion on an issue. It can be used to urge the state's congressional delegation to support or oppose pending or proposed legislation, or to inform the public of the state's position on a particular issue. There are two types of Arizona Proposed Resolution Statement: Concurrent Resolutions and Joint Resolutions. Concurrent Resolutions are used to express the opinion of the legislature and do not require the signature of the governor. Joint Resolutions are used to propose amendments to the state constitution and require both the signature of the Governor and the approval of the voters. Both types of Arizona Proposed Resolution Statements must be passed by a majority of both houses of the legislature before they can be submitted for consideration by the Governor or the voters.
