California Judgment On Sister State Judgment (1710 CCP) is a type of law that allows a court in the state of California to recognize and enforce a judgment made in a court of another state. It is also known as the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the United States Constitution. This clause requires each state to recognize the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state. The California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP) Section 1710 sets out the procedures for enforcing a sister state judgment in California, and provides for the recording of the judgment in the California court where the judgment was entered. There are two types of California Judgment On Sister State Judgment (1710 CCP): 1. Domestic Judgments: These are judgments from a court in another U.S. state that are enforceable in California. 2. Foreign Judgments: These are judgments from a court in another country that are enforceable in California.
