California Request For Court Reporter is a form used in California courts to request the services of a court reporter. This form is typically used by attorneys and court staff to request that a court reporter be present in a courtroom or deposition to record proceedings. There are two types of California Request For Court Reporter forms: the Short Form and the Long Form. The Short Form is used to request that a court reporter be present for a trial or hearing that is scheduled to last no more than one day; the Long Form is used to make a request for court reporter services when the trial or hearing will last more than one day. Both forms require the name and address of the court, the name of the case, the date of the trial or hearing, the name of the court reporter, and other relevant information. The court reporter must be certified and registered with the State of California in order to provide services.
