California Referral To Court Investigator-Confidential is a program designed to provide referrals to court investigators who are licensed, qualified and confidentially employed by the County of California. These court investigators are responsible for conducting investigations into matters relating to child welfare, juvenile delinquency, adult criminal matters, dependency and guardianship cases, family court cases, expungement, and other matters referred by the court. Court investigators are independent and confidential, and they have the authority to obtain confidential information from witnesses, review documents, and make recommendations to the court. The types of court investigators referred by the County of California include Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Court Appointed Special Investigators (CASE), Court Appointed Special Masters (CASM), Court Appointed Special Advisors (CASA), and Court Appointed Specialists (CAS).
