California Distribution to Conservative or Ward-Standard and Simplified Accounts are designed to provide financial support to a person who is appointed to manage the assets of another individual who is unable to manage the assets on their own due to incapacitation. The Standard Account is a more complex form of account that requires the conservator or guardian of the ward to monitor the expenditures and investments of the account, as well as communicate regularly with the court regarding changes in the account. The Simplified Account is much less complex and allows the conservator or guardian to make decisions on behalf of the ward without court approval. Both accounts are governed by the California Probate Code and are overseen by the court. The types of California Distribution to Conservative or Ward-Standard and Simplified Accounts include Standard Accounts, which are the more complex form of account; and Simplified Accounts, which are the less complex form of account.
