Colorado Notice of Advisement is a form that is sent to a debtor when a creditor has initiated a legal proceeding against them. It is an official document that outlines the creditor's legal rights, obligations, and remedies, as well as the debtor's obligations, including a statement of the amount owed and the deadline for payment. The Notice of Advisement also informs the debtor of their right to object to the creditor's claims or to file a counterclaim. There are two types of Colorado Notice of Advisement: the Prejudgment Notice and the Post-Judgment Notice. The Prejudgment Notice is sent to the debtor before the creditor has filed a lawsuit and outlines the creditor’s rights and the debtor’s obligations. The Post-Judgment Notice is sent to the debtor after a judgment has been entered against them and outlines the creditor’s rights to enforce the judgment, such as wage garnishment or property seizure.
