Connecticut Coverage Election By Employee Who Is An Officer Or Member is a form of insurance coverage that allows an employee who is an officer or member of a corporation to elect to be covered by the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Act. This election allows the employee to be covered for any work-related injury or illness that they may suffer while working for the company. This type of coverage is not available to non-officer or non-member employees. There are two types of Connecticut Coverage Election By Employee Who Is An Officer Or Member: voluntary and involuntary. Voluntary coverage is when the employee elects to be covered by the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Act; whereas, involuntary coverage is when the employer requires the employee to be covered. In both cases, the employee must provide written notice of their election to the employer and must maintain the coverage for the duration of their employment.
