Connecticut Complaint For Employment Discrimination is a formal complaint that is filed with the State of Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CCRO) alleging that an employer or other entity has discriminated against the complainant in the form of termination, demotion, harassment, unequal pay, or other forms of discrimination. The complaint must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination. There are two types of Connecticut Complaint For Employment Discrimination: Individual and Class. Individual complaints are filed by a single individual alleging discrimination based on their protected class status. Class complaints are filed by a group of individuals alleging discrimination based on their collective protected class status. Protected class statuses include race, color, religious creed, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, present or past history of mental disability, intellectual disability, learning disability, physical disability, including, but not limited to, blindness, sexual orientation, civil union status, and HIV status.
