The Connecticut Certificate of Employability Application — CSSD (Connecticut Supportive Services for Disconnected Youth) is an application for young adults aged 16-21 who have been disconnected from school and work and are seeking employment. This application is used to determine whether an individual is eligible for supportive services and assistance in obtaining and maintaining employment. The Connecticut Certificate of Employability Application — CSSD consists of two types of applications: (1) the Regular Certificate of Employability Application and (2) the Express Certificate of Employability Application. The Regular Certificate of Employability Application requires the applicant to submit an official copy of their academic transcript and answer a series of questions about their employment history and career goals. The Express Certificate of Employability Application allows applicants to submit their academic transcript in an electronic format and requires a shorter set of questions about their employment history and career goals. Both applications require the applicant to provide proof of identity and age.
