Connecticut Discrimination Complaint/Federal Grants is a program administered by the state of Connecticut’s Department of Housing (DOH) that provides financial assistance to individuals and organizations who have experienced discrimination in housing, employment, or public accommodations based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or source of income. The program offers two types of grants: a Fair Housing/Discrimination Complaint Grant and a Fair Housing/Discrimination Prevention Grant. The Fair Housing/Discrimination Complaint Grant provides financial assistance for claims or complaints of housing discrimination, while the Fair Housing/Discrimination Prevention Grant provides funds to organizations for activities designed to prevent and/or eliminate housing discrimination. Both grants are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
