The Connecticut Petition for Certificate Releasing Liens (New 10/15) To be used in place of PC-205 & PC-205A is a legal document used to release a lien on real estate in the state of Connecticut. This document replaces the PC-205 and PC-205A forms, which are no longer in use. This document must be presented to the Superior Court of Connecticut by the lie nor, or the person or entity who holds the lien. This petition must include the details of the real estate being released, the lie nor’s name anaddresseeineveree’s name and address, the amount of the lien, and a signature of the lie nor. The petition must also be accompanied by a copy of the instrument creating the lien and proof of service of the petition on the lie née. The petition is reviewed by the court, and, if approved, a Certificate of Release of Lien is issued. There are two types of Connecticut Petition for Certificate Releasing Liens (New 10/15): one to release a lien on real estate, and one to release a lien on personal property.
