Connecticut Appeal of Order of Isolation, Quarantine or Vaccination (New 7/16) is a process by which individuals can dispute an isolation, quarantine or vaccination order issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH). This process allows individuals to challenge the order by filing an appeal with the Connecticut Office of the Healthcare Advocate (OHA). The appeal can be filed online or by mail and must include a statement of the reasons why the individual believes the order should be overturned. There are two types of Connecticut Appeal of Order of Isolation, Quarantine or Vaccination (New 7/16): a hearing appeal and a written appeal. The hearing appeal allows the individual to present their case to a hearing officer, while the written appeal allows the individual to submit a written statement to the OHA in order to dispute the order. Both types of appeals have the same goal of overturning the isolation, quarantine or vaccination order.
