Connecticut Petition/Paternity Claim (New 10/14) is a legal document used to establish a legal father-child relationship in the state of Connecticut. This document is used to petition the court to determine the paternity of a child, and to ensure that the biological father's rights and responsibilities are established. There are two types of Connecticut Petition/Paternity Claim (New 10/14): Voluntary Acknowledgement of Paternity and Court Order of Paternity. Voluntary Acknowledgement of Paternity allows the biological father to sign an agreement affirming his paternity, while the Court Order of Paternity requires additional legal action, such as a DNA test and/or a hearing, to determine the paternity of the child. Both types of Connecticut Petition/Paternity Claim (New 10/14) must be filed with the court in order to legally establish the father-child relationship.
