Delaware Application for Re-Reservation of Partnership Name is an official state form used to reserve a name for a limited partnership in the state of Delaware. The application is also known as an “LP-1” and must be completed and filed with the Delaware Secretary of State to reserve the name of a limited partnership. It is important to note that the Delaware Application for Re-Reservation of Partnership Name is not to be used for the formation of a new limited partnership. There are two types of Delaware Application for Re-Reservation of Partnership Name: (1) An Original Reservation of Name and (2) An Extension of Reservation of Name. Both forms require information such as the partnership name being reserved, the name and address of the applicant, and the county in which the limited partnership’s principal office is located. Depending on the type of application being filed, additional information may be required.
