Delaware Order Transferring Foreign Guardianship — SAMPLE ONLY is a legal document that allows for the transfer of foreign guardianship in the state of Delaware. This document is typically used when a non-resident of Delaware has been appointed as the legal guardian for a person living in Delaware. There are two types of Delaware Order Transferring Foreign Guardianship — SAMPLE ONLY: (1) Intercounty Transfer, and (2) Inyo County Transfer. In an Intercounty Transfer, the document is used to transfer guardianship from one county to another within the state of Delaware. This is typically done when the person (or their legal guardian) is moving from one county to another. In an Inyo County Transfer, the document is used to transfer guardianship within the same county. This is typically done when the person (or their legal guardian) is changing legal guardians within the same county. Delaware Order Transferring Foreign Guardianship — SAMPLE ONLY must be filled out and signed by the current legal guardian, the proposed legal guardian, and any other parties as required by the court. The Order must then be filed with the court in the county where the guardianship is being transferred. Once the Order has been approved by the court, the new legal guardian has the authority to act on behalf of the person in their care.
