The Delaware Affidavit for Titling/Registering of Trailers/Mopeds for Non-Resident Owners is a document used by individuals who are not residents of the state of Delaware to title and register their trailers and/or mopeds in Delaware. This document is used to verify the non-resident's ownership of the vehicle and provide additional information to the Delaware Department of Transportation. There are two types of Delaware Affidavit for Titling/Registering of Trailers/Mopeds for Non-Resident Owners. The first type is for trailers and the second type is for mopeds. The Delaware Affidavit for Trailers must be signed and notarized by the non-resident owner and include the make and model of the trailer, the vehicle identification number, the name and address of the non-resident owner, and the name and address of the Delaware resident who is acting as the non-resident’s agent. The affidavit must also include an odometer disclosure statement and the signature of the Delaware resident who is acting as the non-resident’s agent. The Delaware Affidavit for Mopeds must be signed and notarized by the non-resident owner and include the make and model of the moped, the vehicle identification number, the name and address of the non-resident owner, and the name and address of the Delaware resident who is acting as the non-resident’s agent. The affidavit must also include an odometer disclosure statement, the signature of the Delaware resident who is acting as the non-resident’s agent, and a copy of the non-resident’s driver’s license or state-issued photo ID. Both types of Delaware Affidavit for Titling/Registering of Trailers/Mopeds for Non-Resident Owners must be submitted to the Delaware Department of Transportation along with the appropriate fee and any additional required documents.
